Client Relationship Manager Role

We are seeking a skilled Client Relationship Manager to join our team.

  • This role is primarily responsible for servicing and managing customer relationships under the Priority Banking program by engaging them, uncovering their needs, and providing them with the appropriate products, services, and solutions from the entire range of the Consumer Banking suite.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work independently, and possess strong analytical skills. They will also have a proven track record in business goal management and be able to make effective business decisions based on sound financial and business principles.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who is keen on upgrading and improving personal knowledge and skills to meet evolving job requirements.

Responsibilities
  • To manage and anticipate client requirements, focusing on managing the existing base as well as increasing cross-product holding per client.
  • To build understanding and sustain relationships with clients' circles of influence, e.g., parents, mentors, advisors, or other family members.
  • To provide consistent and frequent communication with clients, offering complete and concise portfolio valuations and guidance.
  • To serve as a problem solver for clients, helping them identify investment criteria, recognize concerns that arise during consultation, and handle them effectively.
  • To provide ongoing portfolio supervision, focusing on helping clients adapt to changes in personal circumstances and the financial environment.
  • To retain existing high-value clients by growing their wallet with the bank through relationship management activities.
  • To resolve client queries without further escalation.
  • To convert service recovery into sales opportunities and sustain client loyalty.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Certifications like CFA or FAP are preferred.
  • At least 5 years of successful business practice in client relationship management in the banking industry with relevant experience in financial services.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with multicultural awareness and sensitivity, and the ability to deal with people at all levels.
  • A team player with good initiatives and assertiveness.
  • Proven track record in business goal management.
  • Ability to make effective business decisions independently based on sound financial and business principles.
  • Sound knowledge and experience in building and managing cross-border businesses.
  • Superior knowledge of wealth management products and financial markets.
  • Strong analytical skills and core banking/asset products system knowledge.
  • Strong product knowledge of assets & liability products operations and process.
  • Possess diverse investment and market views to offer a concise and consolidated view of events, enabling appropriate recommendations and guidance to clients.
  • A self-motivator who is keen on upgrading and improving personal knowledge and skills to meet evolving job requirements.
