Job Description

At Gulf Air Group, we are seeking a highly skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist - Data and Voice Systems to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the smooth operation of our data and voice systems, providing maximum performance and availability for our networking and communication systems.

Main Objectives
  • To design, install, maintain, and support LAN, WLAN, WAN, and VoIP infrastructures.
  • To create and maintain network documentation, including hardware and software standards.
  • To ensure that all technologies align with Gulf Air Group's strategic direction and plans.

Main Responsibilities
  • Plan and design robust and efficient network architectures based on organizational requirements.
  • Consider scalability, security, and performance when designing network solutions.
  • Select appropriate hardware, software, and protocols for the network infrastructure.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance network performance and security.
  • Develop and deploy network architectures that meet the organization's requirements for performance, scalability, and security.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Provide regular reports on network performance and security.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in network engineering through ongoing training and professional development activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network services.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Communication and Computer Engineering or equivalent IT studies.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an IT environment, preferably in managing heterogeneous networks on large systems.
  • Highest proficiency in both written and oral English language. Arabic language is an added advantage.
  • In-depth knowledge of LAN/WLAN/WAN communications, network hardware, and software.
  • A thorough understanding of the OSI network model, Ethernet, and TCP/IP networking and subnetting.
