Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough reviews and analyses of sanctions activity and high-risk alerts to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Providing assurance to senior management on regulatory compliance, financial crime issues, and other matters requiring attention.
  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of compliance-related documentation, including reports and policies.

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Relevant professional certification, such as ACAMS or ICA Diploma.

Candidates should also have:

  • At least 5 years' experience in regulatory compliance, preferably in the payments or banking industry.
  • Expertise in regulatory frameworks and AML/CT risks and controls.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex compliance issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing circumstances.

This role requires a strong understanding of regulatory environments, laws, and standards, as well as the ability to apply effective compliance programs in a dynamic business setting.
