Epsilon Advanced Materials Pvt. Ltd., (EAMPL) established in 2018, is a forward-thinking subsidiary dedicated to developing sustainable and high-performance Anode & Cathode battery materials. The company has successfully commissioned India's 1st graphite anode material customer qualification plant in Bellary, Karnataka with plans to produce 30,000 tons/annum by 2026 to scale upto 100,000 tons/annum by 2030. It has made strategic investments globally for manufacturing graphite anode material in USA with 60,000 tons/annum by 2030; and 60,000 tons/annum by 2031 in Finland. EAMPL recently forayed into lithium-ion phosphate (LFP) based Cathode Active Material business through a technology center in Germany reflects its commitment to technological advancement in the battery industry.

Job description:

A. Project Management (EPC Phase)

• Lead and oversee the end-to-end execution of the EPC contract, working closely with EPC partners and two India-based engineering support resources.

• Review and approve engineering, procurement, and construction deliverables, ensuring alignment to technical specifications and Bahrain regulatory requirements.

• Monitor project progress, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure adherence to timelines, quality, and cost.

• Conduct site readiness reviews, safety reviews, and risk assessments during all project stages.

• Coordinate with local authorities for approvals, inspections, utilities, and compliance requirements.

• Prepare commissioning and start-up readiness plans to ensure smooth handover from EPC to Operations

B. Operations Management (Post Commissioning)

• Lead complete plant operations – Production, Quality, Maintenance, Commercial, Administration, and outsourced Safety & Environment teams.

• Ensure safe, reliable, and consistent production of anodes as per customer specifications.

• Maintain strong customer interface with aluminum smelters, ensuring service quality and timely supply commitment.

• Implement production planning, cost control, inventory optimization, and preventive maintenance programs.

• Drive plant KPIs – production output, quality metrics, energy efficiency, cost per MT, and OEE.

• Ensure compliance with Bahrain environmental norms, local regulations, and internal policies.

C. Safety, Environment & Regulatory Compliance

• Enforce highest standards of operational safety and implement EHS frameworks in line with Bahrain regulations.

• Ensure zero-harm culture, incident reporting, and closed-loop corrective actions.

• Maintain compliance with environmental permits, waste management rules, and local safety authorities.

• Oversee outsourced Safety & Environment teams and ensure compliance is met at all times.

D. Stakeholder & Government Relations

• Build and maintain strong relationships with Bahrain government authorities (Industry, Labour, Environment, Municipality, Customs).

• Ensure timely approvals, smooth coordination, and no operational roadblocks.

• Act as the primary representative for Epsilon Bahrain with external agencies, customers, and community stakeholders.

E. People Leadership & Team Management

• Build the site manpower structure and hire required resources across Production, Quality, Maintenance, Commercial, and Administration.

• Drive capability development, discipline, training, and succession planning.

• Promote a culture of ownership, safety, productivity, and continuous improvement.

• Manage multi-cultural teams and ensure alignment with Epsilon values and work culture.

F. Commercial & Administrative Oversight

• Oversee site commercial operations – contracts, vendor management, local procurement, cost monitoring.

• Ensure control over site administration, security, statutory compliance, and documentation.

• Maintain overall plant budget and site expenditure controls.
