The Innovation Team

Are you someone who can spot trends and identify what customers want before they even know it? If so, this might be the right team for you. Our innovation team of trendsetters analyse market trends and customer needs to ensure everything, such as our product look and feel, experience, and features, exceed our customer's expectations

As a Tapster you will:

  • Lead end-to-end integration projects for global (e.g., MPGS, CYBS, N-Genius) and regional MENA gateways (e.g., KNET, BENEFIT, OMANNET).
  • Stay ahead of industry updates (e.g., AFT, tokenization, 3DS 2.x) and ensure changes are incorporated into integration strategies.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design robust, scalable, and secure APIs for payment processing and related services.
  • Review and improve API documentation for external and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in API design (RESTful principles, versioning, error handling, and security).
  • Maintain a strong awareness of the fintech landscape, including scheme rules, processors, open banking initiatives, and regional payment regulations.
  • Ensure gateway integrations comply with PCI-DSS, local regulatory requirements, and scheme mandates.
  • Develop clear flowcharts, diagrams, and technical documentation for integration projects.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and provide detailed insights to resolve integration issues.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all payment gateway-related tasks, discussions, and escalations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, product, compliance) and external vendors to ensure smooth execution.
  • Drive Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) to align on priorities and deliverables.
  • Track and report on project progress using JIRA and other project management tools.

What you will bring to the party:

  • Proven experience in integrating global and regional payment gateways.
  • Strong knowledge of API design principles and hands-on experience in API documentation and integration best practices.
  • Deep understanding of the fintech ecosystem, including payment flows, acquirers, processors, scheme rules, and regional nuances.
  • Familiarity with AFT, tokenization, 3DS 2.x, and PCI-DSS compliance.
  • Excellent documentation and analytical skills (flowcharting, process mapping).
  • Proficiency with JIRA and Agile project management methodologies.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in high-volume transaction environments (e.g., payment gateways, banks, processors).
  • Exposure to open banking APIs and real-time payment systems.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and microservices architectures.
