  • Regulatory Compliance: Support the Financial Controller in preparing and reviewing periodic reports and returns required by the Central Bank of Bahrain, ensuring the bank's compliance and minimizing reputational risk.
  • Accounting Standards: Assist in implementing new accounting standards as applicable, ensuring the bank's financial reporting remains current and compliant.
  • VAT Compliance: Provide support to the financial controller in meeting VAT-related requirements, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Budgeting: Assist the Financial Controller in the budgeting exercise, highlighting and reviewing variances with business heads to ensure accurate budgeting.
  • Variance Analysis: Review budget vs. actual figures, inquiring into justifications for variances to maintain an effective monitoring mechanism.
  • Internal and External Reporting: Ensure accurate information is provided to internal and external auditors and regulators on a timely basis, addressing risks highlighted by them to safeguard the bank's interests.
  • Communication: Establish effective communication channels with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues promptly and in the best interest of the bank.
  • Account Ownership: Implement account ownership and reconciliation processes to strengthen overall controls over financial reporting.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Associated Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA) or MBA Finance
  • Relevant banking experience of 3 years
