Manage the front desk by receiving incoming calls, greeting, and attending to customers while always remembering the restaurant's standards. Inform guests about the availability of tables and direct them to the tables. Collaborate with other restaurant staff and the management team to ensure that customer complaints (both floor and online) are properly attended to in a timely manner. Check the restaurant's emails and respond accordingly, drawing the attention of management to certain emails when necessary. Control reservations to maximize the number of covers. Process all reservation inquiries via telephone, or Sevenrooms booking system and Opentable. Confirm all reservations of over 6/8 guests with the Manager on duty before accepting the reservation. Confirm next day reservations by telephone and proceed to allocate the right tag on the booking system. Retrieve information on reservation availability from the system. Cancel, amend, and confirm existing reservations. Your look needs to be always impeccable, following the restaurant's standards of personal appearance. Timely and effective communication of all guest information such as reservation notes, birthdays, allergies, and special comments to the Manager on duty. Report all security issues to the Manager on duty. Requirements and skills Previous work experience as a Hostess. Must be able to work a variety of shifts including holidays, weekends, evenings, etc.
