About The Role The role holder is responsible for managing day-to-day store operations by implementing company policies and procedures, and driving commercial performance of the store to achieve store objectives. Core Responsibilities Manage day-to-day operations of the store to ensure store operations objectives are achieved. Greet customers and describe product features and benefits; demonstrate the use and handling of the product. Educate clients on brands quality standards and specifications. Advise customers on product ranges best suited to their needs; answer customers' queries to help them make a decision on the purchase. Resolve customer complaints and respond to comments in a timely and professional manner. Maintain proper loss prevention standards and ensure compliance with cash handling and theft of products. Implement in-store promotions for assigned section, ensuring price changes are carried out effectively as per the brand guidelines. Implement seasonal and sale layouts in the store to ensure brand-specific merchandising standards are consistently delivered. Ensure all products are price tagged and bar-coded before display. Ensure correct rotation of stock on shelves and assist in accurate stock counts as per store requirements. Ensure all stock administration (stock count, dispatch and delivery) is recorded in the system accurately and correctly categorized. Maintain awareness and vigilance at all times of security in the store. Ensure the highest standards of housekeeping and grooming etiquettes are maintained in store at all times. Assist the merchandiser and/or store manager in product placement and arrangement. Maintain a detailed knowledge of the merchandise/products stocked in the store. Ensure effective stock replenishment to the store and assure continuous stock availability, ongoing recovery, and maintenance in the store. People Management Define goals and key performance indicators for each member of the team and ensure effective implementation of GMG's performance management process. Develop talent within the team by providing guidance, mentoring, and coaching to achieve the defined goals. Drive a culture of feedback and coaching in the Business Unit/Department by providing feedback on an ongoing basis, identifying development needs, and coaching employees on areas of improvement.
