Head of Legal - Experienced Legal Professional | Investment Management Leadership Role Our client is a dynamic and prestige investment management firm committed to delivering exceptional financial strategies and unparalleled client service. They are seeking an exceptional legal leader to drive the legal and compliance operations. The Head of Legal will be a strategic partner in our organization, providing comprehensive legal guidance and ensuring regulatory compliance across all business activities. You will be responsible for providing clear and interpretive advice to stakeholders across multiple geographies. Additionally, you will provide input into strategic decisions, exercise sound legal advice, and develop risk-appropriate business solutions. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the firm's legal department, providing strategic legal counsel to senior management. Oversee regulatory compliance for investment management activities. Draft, review, and negotiate complex legal documents including investment agreements, contracts, and partnership arrangements. Develop and implement robust legal risk management strategies. Advise on corporate governance, regulatory requirements, and legal best practices. Collaborate closely with executive leadership, investment teams, and external counsel. Manage and mentor a team of legal professionals. Qualifications: Bachelors/ Masters Degree from a reputable university (US / UK Qualified Only). Minimum 15 years of experience in financial services legal roles with at least 5 years within private practice. Proven experience in investment management, private equity, or financial regulatory environments. Extensive knowledge of securities law and financial regulations. Strong leadership and team management skills. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
