Material Engineer

**Job Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree in civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of concrete materials, mix design principles, and relevant testing standards (ASTM, ACI, etc.).
- Proven at least 7 years of experience in quality control and testing of concrete materials, preferably in a ready-mix concrete and construction industry.

**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform regular quality control tests on raw materials, such as aggregates, cement, admixtures, and water, to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
- Conduct field and laboratory tests on fresh and hardened concrete samples to assess their strength, workability, durability, and other physical properties.
- Monitor and analyze test results to identify any deviations or non-conformities and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Knowledge and understanding of concrete chemicals and additives.
- Evaluate the suitability and performance of different raw materials for concrete production.
- Collaborate with suppliers and conduct technical assessments to ensure the consistent supply of high-quality materials.
- Recommend modifications to concrete mix designs based on material characteristics and project requirements.
- Develop and optimize concrete mix designs to meet project specifications, considering factors such as strength, durability, workability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct trials and experiments to assess the performance of different mix proportions and adjust them as needed.
- Collaborate with the sales and production teams to provide technical support and guidance on mix design selection for specific projects.
- Maintain accurate records of test results, mix designs, and material specifications.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports summarizing test findings, recommendations, and any quality-related issues.
- Communicate test results, findings, and recommendations to internal teams, project managers, and external stakeholders as necessary.
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures and best practices throughout the concrete production process.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development and implementation of quality assurance initiatives.
- Installing, Operating, and maintaining 3D Materials Delivery System (MDS) in construction field.
- Ensure good practice of 3D Materials Delivery System (MDS) as per the STANDARD OPERATIONAL PROCEDURE.
- Knowledge and awareness of 3D modeling software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with CAD or any other software and ability to interpret 3D models and designs.
- Understanding of Materials Delivery System (MDS) setup, calibration, and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve common Materials Delivery System (MDS) issues.
- Understanding and complying with safety protocols and procedures related to operating 3D Materials Delivery System (MDS) and all working area as per company and Bahrain policies and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
- Understanding of quality assurance and quality control processes and ability to monitor and ensure print accuracy.
- Research and development, creating presentations and presenting it, writing articles as per the needs of the company.
- Understanding of structural engineering principles and ability to collaborate with structural engineers.
- Knowledge of construction materials, techniques, and systems, including those specific to 3D construction printing.
- Understanding of the integration of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems into architectural designs.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet project deadlines.
- Knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in architectural design and construction.
- Developing and improving 3D printer and 3DCP practice and procedures as per company’s strategic vision, mission, and goals.

**Knowledge and Skills**
- Proficiency in using testing equipment and tools, such as slump cones, compression machines, sieves, share vane, etc.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and data interpretation.
