Accounting and Procurement Officer

As an **Accounting and Procurement Officer** for a restaurant business, your responsibilities may include managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, overseeing procurement processes for food and supplies, tracking inventory, analyzing costs, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring compliance with accounting and procurement regulations.
**General Responsibilities**
1. **Financial Management**:
- Manage financial transactions such as invoicing, payments, and payroll.
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports.
- Monitor cash flow and budgeting.
2. **Procurement**:
- Source and purchase food, beverages, and supplies for the restaurant.
- Negotiate with vendors to obtain the best prices and terms.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and track deliveries.
3. **Inventory Management**:
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels.
- Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and ensure stock availability.
- Conduct regular inventory audits.
4. **Cost Analysis**:
- Analyze costs related to food, beverages, supplies, and other expenses.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
- Develop and implement cost reduction strategies.
5. **Compliance and Reporting**:
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and procurement policies.
- Prepare and submit financial and procurement reports to management.
- Assist with audits and regulatory inspections.
6. **Record Keeping**:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial and procurement records.
- Organize and file invoices, receipts, contracts, and other documentation.
7. **Communication and Collaboration**:
- Coordinate with internal teams such as chefs, kitchen staff, and management.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, suppliers, and external partners.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize processes and achieve business goals.
8. **Problem Solving**:
- Address accounting discrepancies, procurement issues, and operational challenges.
- Implement solutions to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
9. **Technology and Tools**:
- Utilize accounting software, procurement systems, and spreadsheets to manage data and processes efficiently.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in accounting and procurement.
10. **Continuous Improvement**:
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance productivity and profitability.
- Stay informed about new technologies, regulations, and practices relevant to accounting and procurement in the restaurant industry.
**Salary**: Up to BD500.000 per month

- Supply Chain / Procurement - Restaurant business: 3 years (preferred)
- Accounting: 5 years (preferred)
- Microsoft Excel - Advanced Level: 5 years (preferred)
**Language**:
- English (preferred)
- Arabic (preferred)
License/Certification:
- Acca / CA / Inter-CA / CMA (Part Qualified also) (preferred)
- Supply Chain Certifications (preferred)
- Bahrain Driving License (preferred)
