Manama, Bahrain US United States Fleet Forces Command Full time

**Duties**:

- You will advise COMUSNAVCENT on the state of readiness and efficiency of the Command naval and fleet components and their effectiveness in preventing and addressing civilian harm across the full spectrum of armed conflict and military operations.
- You will establish objectives, coordinates, and monitors COMUSNAVCENT CHMR programs and evaluates CHMR programs' effectiveness, efficiency, integrity, and economy.
- You will advise the Commander on status, progress, and problems with setting up and conducting CHMR programs and plans.
- You will act as the main point of contact for the establishment of the COMUSNAVCENT CHMR Steering Committee (CHMR SC) and the main POC at the working level for the CHMR Steering Committee and its subsidiary entities.
- You will work closely with command staff on efforts to integrate CHMR concerns into the command’s strategy, planning, programming, and policy.
- You will be responsible for reviewing existing plans for effective incorporation of CHMR policies and issues and ensuring that any new or revised plans or strategies incorporate CHMR measures.
- You will lead targeted and comprehensive assessments of COMUSNAVCENT operations and planning to mitigate civilian harm and risks.
- You will serve as a Special Assistant to COMUSNAVCENT and the Deputy Commander.
- You will serve as the single point of contact for liaison, analysis, program reviews, special studies, and plans throughout COMUSNAVCENT AOR by DOD CHMR, CP CoE, CENTCOM, and other external agencies.

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
- May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.
- You will be required to sign the Statement of Understanding for Overseas Employment acknowledging receipt and understanding of the statement of living and working conditions for this location.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

**Qualifications**:

- Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

- 1. Reporting to leadership on the status, progress, and problems with setting up and conducting CHMR programs and plans.
- 2. Prepare briefings, presentations, and decision memoranda to support deliberations and decisions by the Commander on CHMR issues.
- 3. Coordinate, and monitor the CHMR programs effectiveness, efficiency, integrity and economy.
- 4. Conduct special studies or projects to enhance the mission effectiveness of command.
