Job Description:

  • Creating Engaging Lessons: Plan and deliver lessons that inspire and challenge students, meeting school curriculum and policy requirements. Differentiate learning to ensure each student makes outstanding progress.
  • Supporting and Assessing Progress: Regularly assess students' in-class and at-home learning, providing targeted feedback to drive progress and reach potential.
  • Building a Positive Learning Environment: Establish a classroom and school environment where students feel valued, supported, and ready to take risks in their learning.
  • Collaborating and Sharing Best Practices: Work closely with colleagues as an active member of our learning community, sharing best practices and collaborating on initiatives.
  • Contributing to School Life: Participate in the co-curricular programme, helping to create a well-rounded educational experience through clubs, whole-school initiatives, and other activities.
  • Collaborating with Parents: Maintain open communication with parents, building partnerships that support students' progress and help each child feel valued and respected.

Requirements:

  • A degree and PGCE or B. Ed or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • At least two years post-qualification teaching experience.
  • Experience teaching Psychology to GCSE and A-level students.
  • Confidence with ICT in teaching.
  • Enhanced DBS disclosure.
