Hotel Business Development Director

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Sales and Marketing to join our team at RESO. As a key member of the hotel leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales and marketing initiatives to drive revenue growth and enhance market presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to achieve commercial goals.
  2. Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
  3. Lead and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  4. Establish sales targets, monitor performance, and provide coaching and support.
  5. Oversight of marketing campaigns including digital marketing, social media, and traditional advertising.
  6. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and content.
  7. Build relationships with key clients, corporate accounts, and industry partners.
  8. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
  9. Collaborate with the revenue management team to optimize pricing and inventory strategies.
  10. Lead public relations efforts on behalf of the hotel, developing and implementing PR initiatives.
  11. Build relationships with local media and maintain a database of journalists and influencers.
  12. Develop an activity schedule incorporating events, press releases, and other announcements linked to key hotel events and activities.
  13. Respond to media inquiries and information requests.
  14. Organize incoming media, influencer groups, and individual visits to the hotel.
  15. Plan and manage internal communication and awareness of corporate direction and mission aims.
  16. Support ongoing community relations programs strategically planned to support area marketing efforts.
  17. Monitor booking trends and adjust marketing efforts accordingly.
  18. Prepare regular reports on sales and marketing performance, including ROI analysis for campaigns.
  19. Utilize data-driven insights to refine strategies and improve results.
  20. Manage resources effectively to drive revenue growth.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hotel Management, or related field.
  2. MBA preferred.
  3. 2 years of experience as a Director of Sales or Director of Marketing within a similar type of hotel.
