Job Title

We are seeking a highly skilled Roads Engineer to join our team and contribute to the success of our projects.

  • Report directly to the Resident Engineer and assist in overseeing the construction of road works.

  • Coordinate activities with other engineers and members of the construction supervision team.

  • Assist the Resident Engineer in reviewing shop drawings, design proposals, method statements and other activities including correspondence related to the road works.

  • Coordinate with Parsons' design engineers for resolution of related issues.

  • Maintain daily diaries and reports by inspectors.

  • Coordinate with contractor engineers on scheduling and application of resources.

  • Direct, assist and monitor the performance of inspectors and surveyors as applicable.

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of records.

  • Oversee the implementation of safety procedures on the project and ensure safety goals are achieved.

  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.

  • Participate actively in health and safety issues at site, as required by the Resident Engineer and the project safety representatives.

  • Provide on-site direction and assist the Resident Engineer in issuing site instructions with respect to road works and associated items.

  • Check and measure performed work in line of work, record and display progress vs programmed work.

  • Ensure correctness and completeness of 'as-built' drawings within his line of work.

  • Coordinate with Materials Engineer in material submissions, analyze laboratory and technical reports.

  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

  • 12+ years of related work experience in road projects preferably in Bahrain and GCC countries.

  • Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is required.
