Job Title: Director of Sales and Marketing Strategist

The RESO Director of Sales and Marketing Strategist is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales and marketing initiatives to drive revenue growth, enhance market share, and presence. The incumbent will lead the sales and marketing team, manage marketing campaigns, and establish strong relationships with clients and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to achieve commercial goals.
  2. Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
  3. Lead, train, and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed revenue targets.
  4. Establish sales targets, monitor performance, and provide coaching and support.
  5. Oversight of marketing campaigns including digital marketing, social media, and traditional advertising.
  6. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and content.
  7. Build and maintain relationships with key clients, corporate accounts, and industry partners.
  8. Conduct post-meeting evaluations.
  9. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
  10. Collaborate with the revenue management team to optimize pricing and inventory strategies.
  11. Lead public relations efforts on behalf of the hotel, developing and implementing PR initiatives.
  12. Build relationships with local media across key segments and maintain a database of journalists and other influencers.
  13. Develop an activity schedule incorporating events, press releases, and other announcements linked to key hotel events and activities.
  14. Respond to media inquiries and information requests.
  15. Organize incoming media, influencer groups, and other individual visits to the hotel.
  16. Plan and manage internal communication and awareness of corporate direction, mission aims, and activities.
  17. Support ongoing, focused community relations programs strategically planned to support and enhance area marketing efforts.
  18. Monitor booking trends and adjust marketing efforts accordingly.
  19. Prepare regular reports on sales and marketing performance, including ROI analysis for campaigns.
  20. Utilize data-driven insights to refine strategies and improve results.
  21. Manage the sales and marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
  22. Update hotel rates in major distribution channels and travel agents/tour operators.
  23. Monitor expenses and adherence to budgetary guidelines.
  24. Recruit, train, and develop sales and marketing staff to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  25. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team environment.
  26. Train hotel team to drive revenue.
  27. Maintain compliance with Wyndham's brand marketing guidelines.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hotel Management, or related field.
  2. MBA preferred.
  3. 2 years of experience as a Director of Sales or Director of Marketing within a similar type of hotel.
