Lead a high-performing Talent and Culture Department to drive business success.

Job Description:

The Director of Talent and Culture is responsible for building and maintaining a positive and inclusive work environment that fosters colleague engagement, retention, and development. This role oversees the day-to-day operation of the Talent and Culture Department, collaborating with senior leadership to implement the human resources strategy and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the Talent and Culture team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company's mission and vision.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to design and implement effective talent management programs.
  • Provide guidance and support to Departmental Leaders and Senior Managers on HR-related matters.
  • Oversee the administration of human resource programs, including compensation, benefits, leaves, disciplinary matters, disputes, investigations, performance management, productivity, recognition, morale, occupational health and safety, and training and development.
  • Conduct research and analysis of organizational trends, reviewing reports and metrics from the organization's human resources information system (HRIS) and talent management system.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, recommending best practices and reviewing/ modifying policies as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of four years' experience in a Human Resources leadership capacity, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • University/college degree or diploma required.
  • Formal education or certification in Human Resources Management an asset.
  • Previous experience with benefit administration and employee wellness and safety initiatives.
  • Proven organizational skills, works well on own initiative and as a team, able to set and meet deadlines with quality results.
  • Strong computer skills, proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal, communications, and presentation skills, both written and oral.
  • Self-confident and able to communicate easily with all levels of an organization from line colleagues to Executives.
