IT Operations Leader for Banking and Treasury Systems

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced IT Operations Leader to supervise all operations activities on FLEXCUBE and MUREX systems, including EOD, BOD, file transfers, report printing, job execution & monitoring, backup execution & monitoring, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily operations tasks on FLEXCUBE and MUREX systems
  • Shift Scheduling L1 support for backend Unix systems
  • L1 support on related applications
  • Participate in DR drills
  • System monitoring using tools like HP Open View, BMC Patrol (optional)
  • Job Scheduler monitoring using tools like Control M (optional)
  • Change Control execution
  • Daily reporting and dashboard updates
  • Generate innovative approaches and solutions to recurring tasks or problems
  • Provide coaching and guidance to team members
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of operating processes and procedures
  • Rotate with team members for on-call support schedule

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree/diploma in Computer Science, Management Information Systems supplemented with one or more courses in current technology
  • Formal basic training in Unix systems
  • Formal training in the operations of FLEXCUBE, MUREX applications
  • Good (3+ years) and current experience as an operations supervisor in a medium to large banking/financial organization, using FLEXCUBE as their Core banking system and/or MUREX as their Treasury system
  • Basic Unix skill sets
  • 1+ years of current L1 system admin. UNIX skills
  • Exposure to Solaris/AIX OS operations/administration

Desirable Skills:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of FLEXCUBE, MUREX products
  • Demonstrated knowledge of IT Operations related processes and procedures including audits, DR exercises
  • General operator/admin L1 skills on UNIX (AIX, Solaris)
  • General awareness of IT Infrastructure technologies, topologies and protocols including servers, storage, backup, networks, etc.
  • Familiar with Job Scheduling concepts
  • Exposure to operations of backup software like Legato is desired
  • Exposure to monitoring systems like BMC patrol, HP Open View is desired
  • Exposure to enterprise job scheduling software is desired

About You: The ideal candidate will be highly motivated with the ability to work/lead effectively in a team, possess highly developed verbal and written communications skills, and have a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
