Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Planning Engineer to join our construction and fit-out project team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in building construction and high-end fit-out works, demonstrating strong skills in project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and control using industry-standard tools such as Primavera P6.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules (baseline, revised, recovery) using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Prepare and maintain project work breakdown structure (WBS), project coding, and resource-loaded programs.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather input and update progress.
  • Monitor project progress against schedules, identify risks and delays, and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports including S-curves, manpower histograms, look-ahead schedules, and critical path analysis.
  • Conduct delay analysis and provide Extension of Time (EOT) claims support when required.
  • Review subcontractor programs and ensure alignment with the main schedule.
  • Interface with clients and consultants for schedule approvals and reporting requirements.
  • Lead planning meetings and workshops for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project specifications.
  • Support cost control by linking schedules with budget and actual cost data.

Desired Candidate Profile
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in planning and project controls, with at least 5 years in fit-out and building construction projects in the Gulf region, preferably Bahrain.
  • Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel (advanced level).
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequences, and fit-out execution.
  • Experience in preparing EOT claims and delay analysis.
  • Familiarity with Bahrain regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Certifications:
  • PMI-SP, PSP (AACE), or equivalent planning certification is a plus.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification is an advantage.
