**Introduction**:
The College of Administrative and Financial Sciences aims to provide the highest quality education that meets the needs of the local and regional labor markets. It aims to stimulate an active learning environment to enhance collegiality, collaboration, and independent learning. The College commits to excellence in teaching to encourage our students to be critical thinkers, decision-makers, and lifelong learners. Furthermore, it aims to support sound scientific research in various disciplines such as Administrative Sciences and Accounting & Finance, establish an effective relationship with industry and community, and continually develop the educational programmes facilities and learning resources.
The College of Administrative and Financial Sciences in Gulf university provides the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Arabian Gulf with qualified graduates with competence in the disciplines of human resources management, accounting, and finance, to contribute effectively to the economic and social development of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The College has two departments that currently offer two undergraduate programs: Bachelor in Human Resources Management and Bachelor in Accounting & Finance.
**1. **Expected Qualifications**:
- PhD in Business Administration/Business Management/Human Resources Management/Accounting/Finance or any other discipline relevant to the offered programs in the College from a reputed and accredited university
- Academic rank of an Associate Professor/Professor
- Membership in Professional Bodies
- Fellowship of Advanced HE (UK) is desirable.
**2. **Expected Experience**:
- A minimum of two years experience in the same capacity or at least three years experience as Head of a Department in a Business College/School
- A minimum of five years in the academic field after obtaining PhD degree
- Experience in academic administration towards offering quality education in the higher education institution
- Experience in effective leadership and management of the academic and administrative functions of a college
- Experience in program design and development, course, and assessment design.
- Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures.
- Distinct record in research and scholarly activities at higher education institutions.
**Required Skills**:
- Ability to engage and liaison with multiple stakeholders, including external bodies, industry, and community
- Knowledgeable about standards of international accreditation and professional bodies in the field of business
- Ability to manage quality enhancement mechanism in a higher education environment
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English
- Demonstrate ethics, integrity, and fairness in behavior and assigned tasks
**3. **Desired Skills**:
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of people in a dynamic work environment
- Ability to perform multitasks within emerging issues and challenges in higher education
- Ability to engage in interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge exchange with other academic or industrial partners.
- Ability to lead the programs and College in any strategic project of the university
- Ability to contribute to university strategic plan, college operational plan, and monitoring implementation
- Demonstrate responsibility for the effective management of the academic, administrative, financial matters, and scholarly pursuits of the College
- Ability to contribute towards the development of teaching, research, and community engagement at both individual, program, and college level
