Customer Services Agent

**Main Objectives**
Performs routine passenger handling activities on assigned shift. Handles passengers on behalf of airlines on departure, arrival and transit at Bahrain Airport. Includes maintaining high personal and customer-handling standards.
**Main Duties**
- Carries out routine passenger handling activities on assigned shift, including reception of passengers at Check-In Desk, to acknowledge them for flight against advance record of their names and reservation dates in system.
- Ensures passengers are with boarding passes and seat allocation, calculates the excess baggage to be charged for passenger carrying more than the entitled allowances and directs the passenger to the cashier for payment.
- Ensures that announcements for flight departure and missing passengers are made when the aircraft is ready and obtains the final figures of transit and joining passengers from the system.
- Escorts passengers to the aircraft when aircraft is parked on the remote stand (using company transport buses) and notifies the Flight Senior Services of any passengers needing assistance such as wheelchair, unaccompanied minor, etc.
- Communicates any necessary messages to the passengers either by calling board or at the Transfer Desk.
- Meets aircraft on arrival, direct passengers to the Arrival Lounge both to the Transfer Desk or Immigration, hands over transit cards to the transit passengers and collects them back.
- Checks transfer passengers and their baggage in cooperation with Baggage Services section by sending them messages through the system.
- Provides passengers with hotel accommodation, meals or light snacks vouchers when required and in accordance with airline policies.
- Carries out other similar or related duties such as ensuring stationary for Check-In departing and arriving passengers is available, assisting passengers with their inquiries regarding flights, escorting them to their baggage in case of any baggage identification and notifies them in case of delay to the flight and notifying airline representatives of any misconnection.
- Comply with the Company and Airport authorities’ health, safety, and security regulations.
**Minimum Requirements**
**Education**:
Completion of secondary (12 years) followed by short coursed in customer services equivalent to 6 months.
**Experience**:
1 year of experience in Passenger activities.
**Other Essential Requirements**:
Fair Knowledge of Written and spoken English.
