**Duties**:
**Non-supervisory duties**

**General**
Serves as the principal advisor to the Installation Commanding Officer and professional colleagues on social problems and human service matters related to personal and family adjustments, as well as interpretation of DoD/DON/Regional policy, regulations and standards. Serves as a representative of the Regional FFSP Director, and receives consults and guidance and is responsive to Regional taskers, data calls, and oversight inquiries and requirements.
Keeps all chain of commands informed of issues, problems and trends in FFSC delivery to include areas that are unique to the FFSC storefront. Maintains close and continuing contact with high ranking and key military leaders in multiple Navy commands, Medical Treatment Facilities (MTFs), Security, Legal, Chaplain, etc., for the purpose of securing support and coordination of programs and services. Represents FFSC in the surrounding community through ongoing liaison with civilian organizations/agencies (e.g., American Red Cross; United Service Organizations; Morale, Welfare and Recreation; Law Enforcement; etc.) for the purpose of sharing information about the military population; encouraging support and promoting sound planning principles; developing a coordinated community services program; identifying gaps or overlaps in services and developing opportunities for partnerships for enhanced service delivery. Travels to supported elements, facilities and other locations within the Region.
Plans, schedules and carries out all aspects of the FFSC operations and mission ensuring organization effectiveness and cost efficiencies though the use of automated data systems.

- This position cannot be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the organization to function effectively.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- The position is designated “key”, which requires the incumbent, or designated alternate, to be screened from military recall status.
- The incumbent or the designated alternate may be required to take part in readiness exercises.
- Must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship or U.S. National
- This position is emergency-essential (E-E). In the event of a crisis situation, the incumbent, or designated alternate, must continue to perform the E-E duties until relieved by proper authority.

**Qualifications**:
A minimum of one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to NF-04 / GS-12 level,

AND ONE OF THE FOLLOWING BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
Completion of a four year degree in behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
- OR
- Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
- OR
- Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field

**Education**:
No positive education requirement.
