Retail Store Operations Manager

The ideal candidate for this role at Alabbar Enterprises & another will possess at least 3-5 years of experience in a retail confectionary in the UAE and GCC. A strong understanding of retail operations, effective communication skills in English, and excellent physical fitness levels are also essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • To set an example and encourage all employees to meet and exceed the company's goals and objectives on a consistent basis.
  • To meet and exceed the company's service standards and sales goals on a consistent basis.
  • To acquire product knowledge information provided by the company to enhance the customer's shopping experience.
  • To spend time on the selling floor working with customers to assist them with their product selections by providing thorough product knowledge information.
  • To consistently follow and abide by the company's established register and cash handling policies and procedures.
  • To create additional sales opportunities by promoting and suggesting other appropriate items.
  • To support and participate in inventory management functions including receiving procedures, transfers, pricing procedures, product counts, and physical inventories as required.
  • To actively participate and support the company's safety and security standards at all times.
  • To assist in meeting the company's brand image and housekeeping standards.
  • To attend and participate in store meetings and company training sessions as required, furthering the development of skills to meet the company's objectives.
  • To work on department and store displays.
  • To identify current and future trends that appeal to consumers.
  • To ensure merchandise is clean and ready to be displayed.
  • To maintain inventory and ensure items are in stock.
  • To ensure promotions are accurate and merchandised to the company's standards.
  • To utilize information technology to record sales figures, for data analysis and forward planning.
  • To ensure standards for quality, customer service, and health and safety are met.
  • To monitor local competitors.
  • To maintain store cleanliness and health and safety measures.
  • To maintain discipline in the store by consistently guiding and coaching the staff.
  • To coach, counsel, train, and discipline employees.
  • To evaluate on-the-job performance.
  • To ensure staff productivity on their respective shifts.
  • To ensure every employee on the shift is impeccably groomed as per brand standards.
  • To be a part of the Daily Briefing Meetings of the store and ensure that the team is well in-time for the same.
