IT Support Specialist for Navy Network Operations

The Leidos team is seeking a skilled Field Service Support Specialist to join our efforts in supporting the OCONUS Enterprise Network (ONE-Net) portion of the NGEN-R Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) contract located in Bahrain. As part of this critical program, you will play a key role in unifying the Navy's shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on the largest IT services program for the Navy, inclusive of cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. You will be responsible for performing Tier I/II duties at NSA Bahrain and supported locations, including remote locations throughout Bahrain.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate all maintenance and restoration activities with TNOSC and LNSC leadership
- Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures through manual configuration, installation of patches, or application of scripts
- Participate in technical exchanges as required
- Provide technical and operational input to Regional Change Review activities
- Provide continuous support on duty or on-call to respond to Government trouble tickets
- Perform on-site maintenance, installations/de-installations, or relocations of workstation equipment and software
- Configure workstations for proper user access to systems
- Provide transport of unclassified or classified HW to and from remote customer locations
- Deploy and support ONE-Net classified and unclassified data seats, and associated network equipment
- Assist with One-Net migrations, system refresh, and deployments
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and less than 2 years of previous IT experience
- An additional 4 years of previous IT experience can be used in lieu of education
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active DoD Secret Clearance
- Compliant with DoD 8570 IAT Level II (Security+, CCNA Security, etc.)
- Possess, or ability to obtain prior to start date, at least one OS certification (Microsoft Endpoint, Microsoft Azure, or similar)
