Key Account Manager

Drive revenue growth by building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers.

Responsibilities
  • Customer Acquisition: Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to acquire new customers.
  • Market Positioning: Establish our company as a thought leader in the industry, known for innovative solutions.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at customer locations, across IT and business functions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with practice teams to understand propositions that can be pitched to prospects and customers.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay up-to-date with market dynamics to anticipate future trends and competition.
  • Partnerships: Develop strategic partnerships with OEMs to drive mutual growth and success.
  • Performance Metrics: Ensure quarter-on-quarter achievement of targets related to order book, revenue, and gross margin.
  • Teamwork: Foster a collaborative environment within the team.
  • Industry Knowledge: Demonstrate expertise in industry trends and technologies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with product, marketing, and support teams to meet revenue and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Business Development: Create new business cases for software and IT infrastructure solutions, focusing on return on investment and strategic planning.
  • Customer Acquisition: Generate new customers from government, banking, and private sectors.
  • Regular Meetings: Schedule regular meetings with strategic customers and prospects to ensure alignment and opportunity development.
  • Account Management: Focus on increasing brand awareness, bringing in new customers, and meeting quarterly targets.
  • Product/Service Mix: Manage product/service mix, pricing, and margins according to agreed goals and quotas.
  • Vendor Partnerships: Leverage vendors and partners to drive business growth.
  • Presentation Skills: Present at customer meetings, seminars, trainings, and webinars as required.
  • Sales Certifications: Maintain sales certifications as required for product vendors.
  • Individual Responsibility: Take ownership of new business development and manage personal performance effectively.
Qualifications
  • People Management: Strong leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Business Domain Knowledge: In-depth understanding of industry trends, technologies, and market dynamics.
  • Relationship Management: Excellent relationship-building and maintenance skills.
  • Desire to Achieve & Excel: Strong motivation to achieve personal and team goals.
  • Market Intelligence: Ability to analyze market data and make informed decisions.
  • Commitment and Focus: Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and focus on delivering results.
  • Software Sales: Proven track record in software sales or relevant experience.
  • Consultative Selling: Ability to provide consultative selling services to customers.
  • Process Compliance & Improvement: Understanding of process improvement and compliance principles.
  • Sales Certification: Relevant sales certifications.
  • Experience: Minimum 6-8 years' experience in the IT industry, with at least 4 years in IT sales.
  • Education: MBA, BE, or Diploma in Marketing/Sales.
