Job Title:

Nurse - Aviation and Occupational Health Services

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, providing aviation and occupational health services to employees, and rendering primary care to entitled dependents in accordance with established policies.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Initial Assessment: Conduct physical assessments based on patient complaints and manage cases accordingly.
  2. Referrals: Refer cases to a General Practitioner (GP) for further assessment or treatment. Additionally, refer Industrial Accident cases to Health Centres and Government Hospitals.
  3. Prescriptions: Prescribe primary medications and treatments within nurse's limitations.
  4. Emergency Response: Attend to emergency cases within the company perimeter. If no doctor is available, decide if the case requires transferring to A/E via 999 and render basic first aid when necessary.
  5. Nursing Treatments: Administer ear wicks, nebulizers, injections, IVs, and dressings, etc.
  6. Diagnostics: Conduct ECG, audiograms, tympanograms, eye tests, spirometry, blood, and urine tests.
  7. Driving License Tests: Conduct eye tests for driving licenses for ground staff and associated companies.
  8. Pharmacy Services: Dispense medicines in the pharmacy in the absence of a pharmacist.
  9. Pre-Procedure Preparations: Prepare patients and assist doctors during procedures.
  10. Aviation Medicals: Conduct nursing parts for Aviation Class I, II, and III CAA-BAH medicals for flying crew members.
  11. Medical Record Keeping: Maintain confidential and comprehensive medical records of patients.
  12. Quality Audits: Participate and conduct yearly quality operational audits.
Education & Training:

BS in General Nursing (Licensed Registered Nurse).

Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, with Arabic being an advantage.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of post-graduate experience in Accident and Emergency, Medical, or Surgical Nursing.
