Market and Counterparty Risk Analyst

This role will be responsible for the measurement, monitoring and reporting of market and counterparty risks in the Group treasury activities and ensure regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Risk Appetite and Governance
  2. Review and enhance Market risk policies and procedures related to the trading book.
  3. Define the Market risk appetite and set up a regular review of the bank positions.
  4. Report market risk positions with respect to Group Treasury books and portfolios.
  5. Develop Market risk models e.g. VaR, ES models and stress testing methodologies as per both internal and regulatory requirements.
  6. Back testing of risk models and suggest remedial actions to adjust the risk models if required.
  7. Monitor the positions of Group Treasury and ensure compliance with the approved limits.
Counterparty Credit Risk Management
  1. Set up PFE methodology for the calculation of the Pre-Settlement Risk in Treasury books.
  2. Report Exposure calculations related to Counterparty Credit Risk.
  3. Analyse the CCR capital consumption and suggest approaches to mitigate the risk.
  4. Assess the counterparty credit risk of new proposals, specifically structured deals and propose approaches for the calculation.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or a related field.
  2. Minimum 5 years experience in risk management and financial analysis.
  3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  4. Strong knowledge of financial markets and instruments.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
