**Role overview**

To work alongside the R&D team and help scale our recipes while maintaining the flavor and high-quality standards while providing training to the kitchen team.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Assist in developing and scaling new recipes while ensuring that the flavor and quality standards are maintained
- Working closely with the Scaling & Development Chef in executing recipes, Documenting them, and sharing them with the R&D team
- Train the kitchen team to prepare new recipes
- Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation
- Must be able to clearly communicate tasks to team members
- Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers
- Assign responsibilities to subordinates and to check their performance periodically
- To work on training team members in an effective manner to ensure efficiency
- Perform administrative duties as and when needed.
- Liaison with the operations team and solve production issues for newer and existing recipes that might arise.
- Identifying the problems and providing tangible solutions.

**Qualifications**
- Must have had previous experience as a Sous Chef
- Must have 8 years of experience within the hospitality and catering industry, preferably in Volume operations.
- Must be a proficient communicator in English
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing facility is a plus

**Knowledge and competency**
- Has had team-leading experiences and would be able to train the kitchen team
- Outstanding communication and leadership skills
- Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and procedures.
- Create and maintain an efficient, hygienic, and positive working environment
- Display good work ethic, resourcefulness, and organization
- Must be able to work under pressure and manage time accordingly
- Ensure quality control and efficient workflow
- Strong time-management skills
- Capable of delegating & managing multiple tasks
- Communication and leadership skills
- Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, MMS )

- Strong communicator
- Pleasant personality and able to lead with empathy
