Gulf Marketing Group (GMG Group) is a leading global well-being company with a portfolio of international and home-grown brands across sport, food, and health sectors. We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Manager to join our retail team.

About the Job:

As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing and driving sales across our stores through efficient store operations, visual merchandising, customer service delivery, and motivating and retaining store personnel in accordance with GMG norms.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate store targets to the team and drive sales to achieve financial objectives
  • Maintain proper loss prevention standards and ensure compliance with cash handling, fraud, and theft of products
  • Oversee and monitor all point-of-sale activities in the store, including sales transactions, tracking customer orders and payments, registering sales, and maintaining inventory updates
  • Manage cash transaction entry and management, including petty cash, point-of-sale cash elements, and change floats
  • Regularly audit store administration and resolve any issues; assist in carrying out annual stock counts and spot checks
  • Monitor and handle customer complaints and take corrective action in line with policy; resolve customer complaints and respond to feedback in a timely and professional manner
  • Track and evaluate brand sales performance, research market trends, and competitor trading activities to identify critical business factors and propose action plans to increase sales and profitability
  • Monitor and analyze sales reports and provide insights to maximize stock potential; report on the performance of new and core collections
  • Maintain window and in-store displays to a high standard in line with merchandising guidelines
  • Oversee and monitor inventory management in the store, including stock availability, order management, backstore management, and stock movement within the store
  • Ensure accurate stock merchandise and management, including stock aging, stock loss, and space management, within the store
  • Coordinate with facilities department on repairs or replacements of furniture or equipment; support company maintenance standards/programs to optimize asset life
  • Maintain staffing levels consistent with operational needs to ensure exceptional customer service; prepare schedules and ensure adequate shift coverage
  • Ensure that seasonal peaks and important promotional events are taken into account when preparing forecasts and staff rosters
  • Ensure that the team is adequately trained in inventory management techniques, such as inbound movement of goods, receiving, stocking, restocking, transfers, and managing inventory discrepancies
