Junior Accountant Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Accountant to join our accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions. This role will involve maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and providing general administrative support to senior accounting staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports.
  • Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of bank statements, accounts, and general ledger.
  • Prepare and process accounts payable and receivable.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of financial transactions.
  • Support with payroll processing, including reviewing timekeeping records.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Help with tax filings and ensure compliance with accounting regulations.
  • Maintain and update accounting databases and spreadsheets.
  • Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documents.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with team members and other departments.
