**Job Description**

The Inventory Manager will oversee the inventory operations of Government-owned mission stock. The position involves directing employees engaged in conducting Distribution Standard system DSS or other Warehouse Management System inventories, researching inventory discrepancies, documenting gains and losses through causative research, performing denial research, item data maintenance, and location surveys.

The Inventory Manager will be responsible for records and maintains control of all inventory items purchased and produced. This includes ensuring the inventory integrity of the Government-owned mission stock meets the acceptable performance levels outlined in the contract.

**Primary Responsibilities**

1. Ensuring inventory integrity meets contract requirements.

2. Planning the use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials based on workload projections.

3. Establishing deadlines, priorities, and work sequences IAW general work schedules, methods, and policies.

4. Redirecting workers and resources to accomplish unanticipated work and accommodate daily workload fluctuations.

5. Conducting planning of current and future work schedules.

6. Providing workload data, estimates, information on staffing needs, and scheduling project work.

7. Ensuring work is done properly and efficiently IAW the terms and condition of the contract.

8. Ensuring compliance with established internal control procedures.

9. Responsible for data and inventory control.

10. Other duties as assigned.

**Supervisory Responsibilities**

The Inventory Manager manages a team of Inventory Technicians and Specialists. This includes ensuring area of responsibility operates in agreement with all referenced DLA Distribution SOPs, addendums, FRAGOS, and Process Manuals.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. GED or equivalent; college degree a plus.

2. Three (3) years' minimum experience in inventory using DSS or equivalent automated Warehouse Management System (WMS) within the past five (5) years.

3. Demonstrated ability to lead a team in a warehouse setting.

4. Self-motivation and ability to work effectively under a minimum of supervision.

5. Ability to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast-paced environment, and have a strong attention to detail.

6. Experience with DSS and other Government-Furnished Data Systems.

7. Ability to use and instruct others in the use of DSS Systems and Query Management Facility (QMF) to perform requirements in the PWS.

8. Strong communication and leadership skills.

9. Knowledge and ability to teach and lead safety procedures.

10. Security Clearance: U.S. Citizenship required and pass a US Government background check.
