• Working with the Pastry Chef and the kitchen team to maintain high standards in the quality of bread and pastries, including presentation.
• Responsible for making a wide range of breads, pastries, and baked goods.
• Measuring and mixing ingredients according to recipes.
• Working under tight production schedules, ensuring correct quantities are produced for each order.
• Providing direction to kitchen helpers, including Commis, Kitchen Attendants, and Stewards.
• Communicating any difficulties, guest or internal feedback, and relevant information to superiors.
• Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
• Observing all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies.
• Assisting the Pastry Chef with checking the completeness of food and kitchen equipment for functions.
• Checking deliveries and invoices from suppliers.
• Liaising with Event Managers regarding service and timings.
• Ensuring all jobs are fully checked before leaving the unit.
• Working closely with the Head Chef and other chefs for smooth event operations.
• Maintaining high standards of baking and presentation.
• Cleaning and resetting the working area, ensuring the kitchen is spotless and tidy.

• Interacting with guests and external contacts, including clients, suppliers, and community members.
• Ensuring all food items are prepared on time and meet quality standards.
• Staying updated on current food trends for presentation and menu design.
• Demonstrating service attributes such as attentiveness, promptness, understanding guest needs, and exceeding expectations.
• Resolving guest complaints effectively.
• Familiarity with CP-Bahrain Health, Hygiene, Fire, Life & Safety Policies, and active participation in safety training.
• Reporting hazards, incidents, and accidents promptly.
• Maintaining hygienic work areas according to hotel rules.
• Participating in cleanliness, wastage, and cost control initiatives.
• Controlling food stock and costs within the section.
• Maintaining kitchen equipment in full working condition.
• Reporting accidents, damages, and property loss timely.
• Producing the correct quantity of food for functions to minimize waste.
