The Company
With an experienced & very motivated senior management team & staff, FABMASTER is one of Bahrain’s fastest growing steel fabrication & powder coating companies expanding from to 2 to over 30 employees in under 2 years. Sales have surpassed expectations & with a recent big investment into the business in order to expand significantly again in coming years. To support this growth, we wish to appoint a Sales Engineer to expand their fabrication & powder coating markets.
The Role
Role will involve engagement across a wide range of industries - specialist works for pharma, food & chemical, component manufactures, heavy engineering, Agri manufacturing, material handling, mechanical contractors & others. Keen to speak to individuals with experience selling to above markets coupled with strong technical understanding of fabrication & broader powder coating technologies. - Responsible to bring business to the company to meet the sales targets. Conducts periodic review of media market surveys, competitor data and identify new potential clients and market
Ø Researching prospects and generating leads.
Ø Monitor and follow up on provided market leads (Corporate provided and personally initiated leads).
Ø Research new methods of development.
Ø Must be driven to procure new business, grow existing customers, and re-capture old customers.
Ø Serves customers by identifying their needs and engineering adaptations of products, equipment, and services.
Ø Provides product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.
Ø Assists in pricing strategy and preparing proposals based on the competition and the market situation.
Ø Proactive and penetrate the market to secure companies share of the market.
Ø Coordinates between design dept, and the client to finalize the project specifications.
Ø Getting inquiries and follow up the offers to convert them in to purchase orders.
Ø Good knowledge of the major projects in Bahrain and Middle East and develop good relations with the key persons.
Ø Preparing business and sales reports and forecasts
Ø Maintain customer database.
Ø Maximizing company profits and ensuring customer satisfaction.
**Skills**:
- General knowledge of estimating, detailing and project management
- Ability to read blueprints and contracts
- Business / financial acumen
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Excellent Communication (written and verbal)
- Ability to articulate the financial drivers of clients
- Initiative and drive in pursuing customers and building long-term working relationships
- Strong negotiation skills
- Meet critical deadlines and handle changing priorities
- Scheduling/Planning
- Problem solving and time management skills
- Follow through/quick to respond
- Ability to travel continuously
- Experience with Commercial, Retail, Heavy Civil projects
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb ladders and steps
Qualification:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years sales management with direct sales experience in the metal fabricating industry in Bahrain.
- Ability to identify customer needs and match their solution with company product/services
- Excellent computer skills, especially with MS Office
- Ability to conduct business in an ethical, successful manner
- Self-motivated, strong desire to achieve personal, professional growth
- Must be able to read/interpret blueprints thoroughly.
- Knowledge of CAD programs, SolidWorks
- Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, and sales skills.
- The ability to relate technical information to non-technical customers.
- Excellent technical and problem-solving skills.
- Good leadership and team working skills.
- Willingness to continue your sales and engineering education.
