About this Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Revenue Maximization Agent to join the Rooms Reservations Team at Jumeirah Gulf of Bahrain Family. The primary objective of this position is to optimize room revenue and profit through proactive selling techniques and referrals across the resort.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of hotel products and services
  • Ensure seamless handling of telephone calls, providing polite and efficient service while meeting caller needs using a client-oriented approach
  • Review arrival reports 48 hours prior to arrival and 5 days prior to arrival
  • Process reservations through various channels (email, fax, telephone, website) efficiently
  • Prepare Pro Forma invoices as requested by accounts
  • Pursue revenue maximization through up-selling opportunities
  • Follow up on non-guaranteed and waitlisted bookings
  • Handle no-shows and cancellations efficiently
  • Maximize selling opportunities by adding customer value at every chance
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest complaints, demonstrating genuine care and concern under the supervision of the Manager on Shift
  • Liaise with Management and team members to ensure smooth operation of Revenue processes and functions within the covered unit
  • Prepare, update, and file all correspondence related to room sales
  • Participate actively in cluster sales projects, including FAM trips and client events/lunches
  • Assist with guest visa inquiries
  • Handle Group Reservations by collaborating with the Events/Sales Department

About You: The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following experience and qualifications:

  • Previous experience in reservations, revenue, or sales departments, either through cross-training or internships
  • Familiarity with Opera PMS
  • Able to handle shift responsibilities in the absence of the Reservations Coordinator and assist newly joined colleagues with job duties of a Room Reservations Sales Agent
  • A minimum of 1 year of work experience in a luxury hotel environment
