Job Overview
The Senior Relationship Manager plays a pivotal role in servicing and managing customer relationships under the Priority Banking program. Primary responsibilities include engaging clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions from our Consumer Banking suite.
About This Role
This position is responsible for driving profitable revenue and volume growth from the portfolio. A key focus area is new client acquisition, deepening existing relationships, and cross-selling to improve market and customer share of wallet with the Bank.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage client requirements, focusing on retaining the existing base while increasing cross-product holdings per client.
- Build and sustain relationships with clients' circles of influence (e.g., parents, mentors, advisors, or family members).
- Provide consistent and frequent communication to clients, offering complete, concise portfolio valuations and guidance.
- Serve as a problem-solver for clients, helping them identify investment criteria, recognize concerns, and address them during consultation.
- Ongoing portfolio supervision, with a continuous focus on adapting to changes in personal circumstances and the financial environment.
- Retail existing high-value clients by growing their wallet share with the bank through relationship management activities.
- Resolve client queries without further escalation.
- Effectively convert service recovery into sales opportunities and sustained client loyalty.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Certifications: CFA or FAP Certified.
- 5+ years of successful business practice in client relationship management within the banking industry, with relevant experience in financial services.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with multicultural awareness and sensitivity.
- A team player with good initiatives and assertiveness.
- Proven track record in business goal management.
- Ability to make effective business decisions independently, based on sound financial and business principles.
- Sound knowledge and experience in building and managing cross-border business.
- Superior knowledge of wealth management products and financial markets.
- Strong analytical skills and core banking/asset products system knowledge.
- Strong product knowledge of assets & liability products, operations, and process.
- Possess diverse investment and market views to offer a concise and consolidated view of events.
- A self-motivator who is keen on upgrading and improving personal knowledge and skills to meet evolving job requirements.
